Scarlet Richter, born in 1984, is working as a writer and director for diverse television production companies.
Initially she studied German literature and sport science as a teacher. Since then her way leaded her through working as a radio-dj, stuntwoman for cinema, tv and liveshow, reporter, spokeswoman and videojournalist. After her journalistic TV-volontariat she was working a few years as an editor for TV and film, whereupon she focused on directing non-fiction formats.
She acts with films under public law, private and independent television mainly with cultural, educational and society subject areas. Scarlet Richter attended several documentary workshops and major pitching events (IDFA, Sheffield Doc|Fest, DOK.fest Munich, Dok Leipzig). In the program of the Documentary Campus Masterschool 2018, she developed her first feature documentary film project “An Hour of Paradise” as a director and co-producer.
